I’m really looking forward to taking a group of my friends down to Atl for Passion City Church tomorrow! For those of you who don’t know anything about Passion City Church Louie Giglio is the founding Pastor! Louie is also the mastermind of the Passion/268 generation movement! Along with Louie will be worship leaders Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman and Christy Nockels!
To say that this is a talented bunch would be an understatement! But the thing I’ve always loved about the Passion crew is how everything they do is ALL ABOUT JESUS! I know most of you are thinking “of course that’s the way it should be” and you’re totally right! I just love that with this group they’re always being humble despite their “status” and making sure that people know that what’s going on has NOTHING to do with them and everything to do with Jesus! I also love the fact they’re always helping out other Churches!
So if you’re in the area you should def stop by and check it out on Sunday! The directions and time can be found here on the latest blog that Louie sent out on the Passion City Church Blog! I’ll go ahead and paste it for ya!
Yes, it’s true. The church that starts and stops and waits and moves is back as Passion City Church opens it’s doors again on Sunday night September 20 at 6 PM! It’s been a long few months since we were last together in May and we are so ready to gather again and set our course for the months and years ahead.
I know for some of you Passion City Church seems like a mirage, appearing on the horizon only to disappear as you get closer. But it is our intention and plan to become a fully functioning, regularly gathering, outwardly moving community of faith and, in time, we’ll get there!
Our first meeting this fall will be at Cobb Energy and Performing Arts Centre, a gorgeous venue for worship located off I-75 just inside 285. This time around there will be no RSVPs (yes, we know you loved them!), and overflow will be available as needed. Directions and details are under the Info section to help make your journey as smooth as possible.
Our dates for the remainder of the year are listed there, as well. We’ll be bouncing back and forth between venues for a while longer, but we’re excited to be meeting more often and building momentum together for the future.
We’ll be updating the Blog as September 20 approaches, but I did want you to know that Love Atlanta/Love The World will be a major focus as we move forward. Some wonder how a new church plant can give the first chunk of the money it receives to local and global causes and still survive. But what is the Church if it’s not an agent for God’s healing power among the last and least of these in our town and around the globe?
This fall we will be partnering with organizations that are meeting the needs of refugees here in Atlanta and throughout the world. You’ll hear more and meet some of our refugee friends on 09.20. So come ready to invest and embrace Atlanta & The World with us.
See you soon,
Louie
Hi,
I am wanting to come to passion church, but I am struggling to find the address and service times! I moved to Atlanta about 5 months ago from London, UK and was apart of Hillsong London, I know that Passion Church will be an amazing home to be apart of.
Please help!!!!
Thanks,
Maryam
Hey Maryam!!
I hope you’re having a great morning!
You can find out all the times/dates/ address to Passion City church here —>>http://passioncitychurch.com/
If you have anymore questions or anything let me know! I’d love to meet you there next Sunday on the 22nd if you make it! Let me know if you’re coming!
I was wondering if the gathering for June 27, 2010, is a regular church service. Who would be leading worship that night? Is Lou Giglio going to be preaching? Can you tell me more about it?
Thanks,
Sarah
